Hyperchlorhydria - Generics

The normal range of gastric acid secretion is between 1.5 to 3.5 pH. When the pH level falls below 1.5, it is considered hyperchlorhydria. The condition can be caused by various factors such as stress, excessive consumption of spicy or acidic foods, excessive alcohol consumption, smoking, and certain medications.
Treatment for hyperchlorhydria typically involves addressing the underlying cause of the condition. This may involve changes to diet and lifestyle, such as reducing intake of acidic foods and beverages, avoiding alcohol and smoking, and managing stress. In some cases, medication may be prescribed to reduce the production of stomach acid.
